Before he signed with Ventforet Kofu, he had played for Senshu university.
During he was in the university, the team got 4 titles, Kanto University Soccer League 3 times in a row, Intercollege Championship once.
Hokuto himself honored to individual awards in Kanto University Soccer League, Team of the year and the MVP. He signed professional contract with Ventforet Kofu in 2014, earned the place from the very first match. He scored first professional goal in this season.
In 2016, he moved to Shonan Bellmare and the club promoted to 1st division in 2017 season.
He moved to Kawasaki Frontale, J.League champions in 2017 season, from 2018 season and got many titles in the club.
Hokuto moved to Oita Trinita in 2021 and played well as a skipper.
In 2023 he moved to FC Machida Zelvia on a permanent deal and won J2 league.
