KAZUAKI MAWATARI

Kazuaki Mawatari is a modern full back with a good attacking strive combined with defensive strength, thanks to his great stamina, dribbling and accurate shooting skills. Also he often takes a kicker role for set pieces. He is a polyvalent wide player, mainly plays at right back and can play at either left back or midfielder.

Began his professional career with Gainare Tottori in 2014 after graduating from Toyo university and mainly played as a right back. Although basically played as full back, he scored 6 goals during his first season.
In 2016, he transferred to J2 side Zweigen Kanazawa and then moved to Tokushima Vortis in 2017, showed lots of good performances both as right and left full back.
After a great season in 2017 with 4 goals and 9 assists, he grabbed the chance to move to J1 side Sanfrecce Hiroshima in 2018.
Even though having a difficult season with only 4 appearances in the first tier, Kazuaki made his first J1 goal on the last match of 2018 season.
In 2019, he signed with Kawasaki Frontale that was J.League champions for second consecutive year in a row back then.
He was on loan to Shonan Bellmare in 2020.
Kazuaki moved to J2 side Omiya Ardija in 2021 and played very well as a right full back.
Then he has moved to Urawa Reds since 2022 season.
