SHOMA DOI
Shoma Doi is a versatile attacking midfielder who has an excellent technique and a high dribbling skill. Also he is a very agile player who has a creative pass sense and a high finishing skill. He mainly plays as an attacking midfielder and a forward but can also play as wide midfielder.
Shoma signed professional contract with Kashima Antlers in 2011, through Kashima Antlers junior youth and youth team. Scored his first goal in 2013 season when he became a vital player in the starting lineup.
He played as a second top and a forward in Kashima Antlers that is one of the strongest clubs in Asian football.
Shoma was selected as a member of the national team squad for the EAFF E-1Football Championship 2017 and earned his first cap at the match against China.
He also played FIFA Club World Cup twice in 2016 and 2018 and scored against Real Madrid at the semi final in 2018.
Shoma was a skipper for the club in 2022 and 2023.
He moved to Montedio Yamagata whichi is his hometown club in July 2024 and started his new challenge in Yamagata.
