Takuma Ominami is a large-scaled central defender,has excellent speed, strength in the air and a talent for build up plays.
Takuma joined Jubilo Iwata from Kagoshima Jitsugyo high school and made his professional debut in the J1 League in 2016.
From the beginning of the 2019 season, he succeeded in becoming a regular starter for the team. Takuma also played for the national teams since youth level.
He moved to freshly promoted J1 side, Kashiwa Reysol in 2020 and played as a vital player at centre back and right full back position.
Takuma played his first match as a member of the japan national team for EAFF E-1Football Championship 2022.
In 2023 he moved to Kawasaki Frontale on a permanent deal and won the Emperor's Cup in the first season.
Takuma was on loan to Belgium club OH Leuven in August 2024 and then moved to the club as a permanent deal in June 2025.
